List of Design Verification Report Certified Drones

The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has introduced a critical step in ensuring the safety and compliance of drones operating within the European Union through the Design Verification Report (DVR). This report serves as a thorough assessment tool to verify that a drone’s design meets the stringent safety standards required for specific operations.

The DVR is particularly essential for drones operating in medium-risk scenarios, ensuring that their design is robust and reliable for the intended missions. Through this verification, operators can confidently move forward with obtaining the necessary operational authorizations.

Drones With Design Verification Report

Here are the drones that already have the Design Verification Report from EASA, their respective information, and their manufacturers:

ReferenceDrone ModelManufacturerInformation
60084532Solar XOne.2XSunEnhanced containment for fixed-wing drone, allowing flight in populated areas in BVLOS without the need of airspace segregation.
60078940SKT 740 AZUR DRONESEnhanced containment demonstrating that the aircraft is always capable of flying within the defined airspace, allowing operations to be conducted, for example, close to adjacent areas with high density of people, controlled airspace, near airports, and any other complex scenario.
60081974 Nimbus PPL-612 Plus Evo Xl Techno Sky
60078814 VC200-2 VOLOCOPTEREnhanced containment. With the certificate, the drone can now be operated in a clearly delimited low-risk area, even if this zone is located close to an area where drone operations are at higher risk, such as a city or sports stadium.
60078867 SenseFly eBeeX SENSEFLYM2 mitigation allows the UAS to conduct BVLOS flights over populated areas.
60079419 K250 DRONUSHarmless UAS to conduct BVLOS flights over populated areas.

As shown in the table, these drones have undergone distinct design verification processes, highlighting variations in their functionality and safety levels. Each drone’s DVR certifies its readiness for specific operations, ensuring compliance with the required safety standards.

With the growing number of drones achieving DVR certification, we can expect an expanding list of approved models. This will enhance operational safety and contribute to a more structured and dependable airspace throughout the European Union.
