WHAT IS IT?
Your Light UAS Operator Certificate, from readiness to approval
A Light UAS Operator Certificate (LUC) lets a mature drone operator authorise its own operations instead of applying to the authority every time.
We prepare the complete LUC application under Part C of Regulation (EU) 2019/947: safety management system, manuals, processes and staff training. Then we manage the authority’s review until the certificate and its privileges are granted.

Below you’ll find the most frequently asked questions we receive regarding Light UAS Operator Certificates (LUCs)
The LUC is not a “blank check” for unrestricted operations. The holder may only carry out activities specified in the terms of approval. As such, operating under a LUC certificate brings significant advantages, but also important responsibilities.
Only legal entities are eligible to apply for a LUC. However, certain activities outlined in the operations manual may be subcontracted.
The LUC remains valid as long as the operator continues to meet the regulatory requirements and complies with the conditions set out in the certificate.
A LUC certificate is valid throughout the EASA Member States.
Depending on the privileges granted, you can authorise your own operations under PDRAs or full operational authorisations, without applying to the authority each time.
We submit in about 60 days. The authority’s review then sets the final timing.
